FFA National Convention

The national FFA convention is held each October with nearly 55,000 FFA members and guests from across the country in attendance. Members participate in general sessions, competitive events, educational tours, leadership workshops, a career show and expo, volunteer activities and much more. It is one of the largest annual student conventions in the country.

FFA State Convention

The State FFA convention is held each April . Nearly 4,000 FFA members and guests from across the state in attendance. Members participate in general sessions, competitive events, educational tours, leadership workshops, a career show and expo, volunteer activities and much more.

Advanced Leadership Academy

The academy is focused on the junior and senior students within the chapter. This activity will bring focus to the agriculture industry. Each of the conferences is designed for a 24 hour period over two-days hosted at various spots throughout the state during the winter months.

Objectives: Each students will
  1. Be exposed to industry leaders and organizations and understand the important role they play in promoting agriculture,
  2. Create an understanding of issues that affect the agriculture industry, and
  3. Develop present an oral argument on one of the identified issues.

Made for Excellence

MFE "Adventure U"!! Students who participate will have fun as they embark on an adventure to develop personal leadership skills. This conference is targeted toward sophomore FFA members. The motivation, excitement, and education gained from this conference will help to enhance the self-esteem and personal development of all who attend.

Objectives: Each student will
  1. Define leadership and identify how to be a leader in one's home and community.
  2. Explore the role of choices and responsibility in character development.
  3. Investigate personal strengths and interests.
  4. Identify specific opportunities for involvement in FFA and continued leadership growth.
  5. Revise the personal plan of action introduced at the Greenhand Leadership Conference (GLC).


Greenhand Leadership Conference

Greenhand Conferences are designed to intrigue and excite the freshman FFA member about the organization. This conference is the “hook-line-and-sinker” to get students to buy into the organization throughout their four years in high school. Each conference will be a day-long event hosted at sites throughout the state during the fall months.
