This is my second year at Big Valley High School and I am so excited to be done with my first year!  I grew up in Humboldt County where I was a 4-H member for 11 years and a FFA member for five years.  I raised and showed sheep, beef cattle, pigs, and meat chickens.  I was the president of my parliamentary procedure team for four years.  I was also the treasurer and reporter of my chapter.

I graduated from California State University, Chico, in the fall of 2009 with a Bachelors of Science in Agricultural Science and Education and a minor in Human Nutrition.  I spent a semester at Chico High School where I taught beginning welding in their Agriculture Mechanics department.  I then spent a semester at Saint Helena High School in the Napa Valley where I taught Earth Science, Food Science, and Floral Design.  I finished the credential program in January of 2011.

One of my main passions is traveling the world.  During college, I spent a semester abroad in Australia where I took classes, traveled all over Australia, and spent a week in New Zealand!
